This project is part of the larger Eastlink Freeway development. Two client were invited to submit to tender Freeway Service Centres; One on the inbound side and the other on the outbound side.
The design brief aimed to provide a major truck stop on either side of the freeway. Offering rest areas, shower facilities, truck wash, and fuel & food options, the design response had to fit within the overall urban context of the freeway.
The completed project stands out while also providing a public link to the nearby wetlands, Caribbean gardens, and existing bike path network.
